External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar meets UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss in New York
Dr. S. Jaishankar met his Norwegian counterpart Ine Eriksen Søreide on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York last night.
External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar met his Norwegian counterpart Ine Eriksen Søreide on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York last night. They held a comprehensive discussion on Afghanistan. Dr. Jaishankar said, it is important for the international community to take a unified approach and appreciated India and Norway working together in the UN Security Council.
The External Affairs Minister also met Foreign Minister of Iraq Fuad Hussein and exchanged views on regional and global issues. They discussed historical ties, economic, energy and development cooperation linkages between the two countries.
Dr. Jaishankar also met the new UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss and exchanged views on developments in Afghanistan and the Indo-Pacific. He urged early resolution of quarantine issue in mutual interest. They also discussed the progress of Roadmap 2030.
