After Google promised in October 2020 that it will arrive to iOS, the VPN service that comes with a Google One Premium subscription is now accessible on iPhones.

According to The Verge, while a Google-run VPN has been available on the platform for months via the Google Fi cell service, the most recent change implies that anyone who pays for 2TB or more of Google One storage should now also get a VPN on their phone.

People in 18 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Mexico, can use the VPN.

Apple's Private Relay service is included in all of its paid iCloud plans, so iPhone owners may be familiar with the concept of an improved storage plan that also provides a mechanism to keep your IP and Internet activity private.

A VPN, on the other hand, is a good addition for iPhone users who prefer Google's services over Apple's, according to the report.

The service does come with one major drawback: users will not be able to obtain an IP address from another nation, which could allow them to access other shows on streaming sites, according to the company.

According to the study, while other VPN services exploit this functionality as one of their key selling points, it's not available with Google or Apple's solutions.
