Apple has unveiled its latest iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at its September 9, 2026 event. Both models are powered by the new A20 Pro chip and come with major camera upgrades, including a 48-megapixel main camera with variable aperture for better low-light photography and greater control over depth. The phones run on iOS 27 and bring new AI-powered features, including an upgraded Siri and Apple Intelligence capabilities. In India, the iPhone 18 Pro starts at ₹1,64,900, while the Pro Max starts at ₹1,79,900. Pre-orders begin September 12 and sales start September 18.
The biggest surprise of the event was Apple’s first foldable iPhone, called iPhone Duo. The device opens into a large 7.6-inch display and features Apple’s A20 Pro chip, multitasking support and up to 2TB storage. Its starting price is $1,999, making it Apple’s most expensive iPhone yet. Apple also introduced the Apple Watch Series 12, Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5 with upgraded health, audio and AI features. Notably, Apple did not launch the standard iPhone 18 at this event, with reports indicating that the base model may arrive later.
