In Dubai Badminton Asia Championships, PV Sindhu, HS Prannoy and Men's Doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will be playing their quarterfinal matches today.

In Women's Singles, Two-time Olympic medallist Sindhu will be up against second-seeded An Se Young of South Korea. Eighth-seeded Sindhu overpowered China's Yue Han, 21-12, 21-15 in the last-16.

In Men's Singles, Eighth-seeded Prannoy has set up a last-eight clash with Japan’s Kanta Tsuneyama.

He defeated Indonesia’s Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo 21-16, 5-21, 21-18 in the pre quaterfinals.

However, Kidambi Srikanth bowed out of the tournament after losing to fourth-seeded Kodai Naraoka of Japan.

World championships bronze medallists Satwik and Chirag, seeded sixth, will face third-seeded Indonesians Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan for a place in the semi-finals. The Indian pair defeated Korea’s Jin Yong and Na Sung Seung in the Round of 16.

Mixed doubles pair of Rohan Kapoor and Sikki Reddy also got a spot in the quarterfinals after their second-round opponents Seo Seung Jae and Chae Yu Jung of South Korea gave a walkover.

The Indian duo will next meet Indonesian pair of Dejan Ferdinansyah and Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja.

However, Women Doubles Pair of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand knocked out of the tournament after handing a walkover to the South Korean combination of Jeong Na-eun and Kim Hye- Jeong in the last-16.
