Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit is set to make her television comeback as a host with the upcoming Marathi quiz-based show ‘Kon Honar Crorepati’, the Marathi adaptation of the popular quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC), which has been hosted by Amitabh Bachchan.
The makers unveiled the show’s first promo on Tuesday, featuring Madhuri in a traditional Maharashtrian look. Dressed in a green and gold saree, complemented by traditional gold jewellery and a Maharashtrian nath, the actress introduces the show in Marathi and promises viewers a new twist on the quiz format. “What has never happened before is now going to happen. Discussions will begin in every household across Maharashtra because the game is about to change,” she says in the promo.
Madhuri, who has appeared in several films and served as a judge on multiple dance reality shows, is returning to television as a host after 24 years. Sharing the promo on Instagram, she expressed her excitement about taking on the new role and described the show as a journey centred on knowledge, dreams and possibilities. ‘Kon Honar Crorepati’ is set to premiere soon on Sony Marathi and SonyLIV.
