India has secured 39 medals so far including, 10 gold, 12 silver, and 17 bronze at the ongoing Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China.

Sumit Antil kickstarted today's medal streak with a remarkable world record throw of 73.29 meters in the men's F64 javelin throw event and clinched a gold, Meanwhile, Pushpendra Singh settled for the bronze in the same event. 

In the women's class 4 table tennis event, Bhavina Patel settled for bronze after losing to China's Gu Xiaodan. 

The Indian duo Pramod Bhagat and Manisha Ramadass in mixed doubles badminton secured bronze, while Narayan Thakur in men's T35 200m clinched bronze.

Yesterday, Prachi, picked up a gold in the KL2 event, while Deepthi Jeevanji in women's T20 400m and Neeraj Yadav in men's F54/55/56 discus throw clinched gold taking the total tally to 34 in the first two days of the competition. 

Currently, Three Indian men - Sandeep, Pushpendra, and Sumit Antil are in action in the Men's F64 Javelin throw.

The Indian contingent will hope to continue their rich haul at the Para Asian Games with plenty of events like Athletics, Cycling, Badminton, Chess, and Archery lined up throughout the day. 

India has sent a contingent of 303 athletes who are participating across 17 disciplines at the Asian Para Games. 

The country is hoping to surpass its best performance of 72 medals at the 2018 event in Indonesia, consisting of 15 gold, 24 silver, and 33 bronze medals.
