As we welcome the Spring Equinox on March 20th, it’s a great time to observe the Sun’s actual position in the sky. Contrary to what Tropical astrology claims, the Sun is currently in Pisces, not Aries.
This difference arises because Tropical astrology is based on seasonal cycles, primarily from a Northern Hemisphere perspective, rather than the true positions of celestial bodies.
This 24° discrepancy means that those born between late March and early April are actually Pisces Suns, not Aries in terms of real sky astronomy.
While the Tropical system remains widely used in the West, it’s important to acknowledge its basis in seasonal symbolism rather than astronomical accuracy.
In contrast, Vedic astrology (or Sidereal astrology) follows the actual positions of planets and constellations, providing a more precise understanding of celestial influences. Just as the Moon and Sun impact our daily lives, the planets and star constellations influence us as well—making it essential to interpret them correctly.
With a major solar eclipse approaching on March 29th in Pisces, now is the perfect time to explore the real sky and rethink how we connect with astrology.
