India continued its medal-winning campaign at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, with Day 11 bringing another strong performance across shooting and boxing. Shooter Neeru Dhanda delivered one of the biggest highlights of the day by winning the gold medal in the women’s individual trap event. Her victory gave India its fifth gold medal of the Games. Dhanda had earlier also helped India secure a silver medal in the women’s trap team event alongside Manisha Keer and Aashima Ahlawat.

India’s overall medal tally rose to 47 medals — 5 gold, 21 silver and 21 bronze, moving the country to 11th place in the standings as of the latest update. India’s athletes have collected medals across several disciplines, including shooting, athletics, kabaddi, cricket, squash, weightlifting, badminton, wushu and rowing.

The action also continued in boxing, where Ankush Panghal defeated reigning world champion Fazilddin Erkinboev of Uzbekistan by a 4-1 split decision in the men’s 80kg semifinal to enter the final. Athletics remained another major focus, with Indian athletes competing in several finals, including the men’s 5000m, pole vault, women’s high jump, hammer throw and relay events. Archery and shooting also featured prominently in India’s Day 11 schedule.

With several medal events still taking place, India’s campaign at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games continues to feature performances across a wide range of sports, giving the contingent further opportunities to add to its medal tally.
