11 thousand kg plastic waste was disposed from Vadodara district

Nehru Yuva Kendra Vadodara-Chhota Udepur under the Swachh Bharat program conducted a sanitation campaign in Vadodara city and collected and disposed of plastic waste.

The event was specially supported by Faith Foundation and Kripa Foundation. Manisha Shah, State Director, Nehru Youth Center, Gujarat, said that the goal is to collect and dispose of 75 lakh kg of plastic waste across India through this program. With this program 10 million kilograms of waste collected and disposed of across the country.

The event was enthusiastically attended by all the volunteers of Nehru Yuva Kendra Vadodara, Faith and Kripa Foundation. Giving more details about the program, District Youth Officer Pankaj Marecha said that through this program more than 11,000 thousand kg of plastic waste has been collected and disposed at all taluka level and in the district. Special cooperation of District Administration, Police Department, Sports and Culture Department, District Rural Development Agency, Rashtriya Seva Yojana Ayurveda College, Nagarpalika, Mahanagarpalika, Swayamsevaks was made to make this program a success.
