Mumbai : ETS, creator of the TOEFL iBT test, hosted a TOEFL Experience Day at The Lalit Mumbai on August 7, bringing together more than 115 education and study-abroad professionals.
The event focused on helping educators and counsellors understand the enhanced TOEFL iBT test, including its Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening sections, along with the test’s Fair, Agile, Smart and Tailored (FAST) approach.
Mumbai continues to be largely a postgraduate-focused study-abroad market, particularly for master’s programmes, while undergraduate interest is also growing. Popular fields include Computer Science, AI and Machine Learning, Data Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Finance and Management.
Students are also exploring destinations beyond traditional choices such as the US and UK, increasingly considering European and Asian countries based on affordability, scholarships, career prospects and post-study opportunities.
ETS currently has 10 active TOEFL test centres across Mumbai and the wider region, supported by 52 TOEFL Market Ambassadors. The organisation said it plans to further expand accessibility and engagement across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
