Actor Salman Khan's security has been reviewed after he got an indirect death threat from a Facebook account claiming to be that of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The profile had Bishnoi's image as the display picture. Bishnoi is currently serving time after being convicted in a drugs smuggling case investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

The post, which was targeted at Punjabi singer Gippy Garewal, was directed at Salman Khan too. "You consider Salman Khan a brother, but now it’s time for your ‘brother’ to come and save you. This message is also for Salman Khan – don’t be in the illusion that Dawood will save you; no one can save you," the post read.

“Your dramatic response to Sidhu Moose Wala’s death did not go unnoticed. We all know the kind of person he was and the criminal associations he had… You’ve now landed on our radar. Consider this a trailer; the full film will be released soon. Flee to any country you wish, but remember, death doesn’t require a visa; it comes uninvited,” the post read.

After taking an assessment of Khan's security, Mumbai police, upgraded it to Y+ level. Bishnoi was reportedly the mastermind behind Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala's death. Earlier this month Bishnoi attacked Gippy Grewal’s house in Canada.

Salman Khan was last seen in the movie Tiger 3, which did very well at the box office. Before that, he was seen in Dabangg 3, which was also produced by him. Khan has previously received death threats from Bishnoi and his gang.
