On his return from a Christmas-New Year trip abroad, Tollywood star Mahesh Babu tested positive for COVID-19. On Thursday, the actor took to social media to provide an update on his health.
Mahesh Babu, in a brief social media post, said: "To all my fans and well-wishers: Despite taking all the necessary precautions, I've tested positive for COVID-19 with mild symptoms."
The 'Prince of Tollywood' added: "I've isolated myself at home and have been following medical guidance."
He also asked that anyone who has recently come into contact with him be tested. He also took use of the opportunity to"urge everyone who has not taken their vaccination to do so immediately, as it reduces the risk of severe symptoms and hospitalisation." Finally, he stated that he hoped to return soon.
Mahesh Babu, a multi-award-winning actor and philanthropist, was most recently working on the post-production of his next film 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata.'
