Arrest four for betting on IPL match through online application

The IPL season is on and fans are enjoying the cricket action during this corona pandemic. The cricket extravaganza also see betting on matches and to stop them the Vadodara police is keeping a strict vigil on such activities.

The Vadodara rural SOG team conducted intensive patrolling in the district and took necessary action to prevent any such illegal activities. On Tuesday night the team got the definite information about one Arvind Kesurbhai Vasava along with some people is involved in high-tech betting through mobiles and laptops in his house at Sajjan Park Society at Juna Bazaar, Karjan.

Based on the information the team raid the spot and found four persons involved in online cricket betting by downloading the android application of cricket maza 11 and online link galaxyexch9.com on their mobile and laptop. The team arrest Divyang Rajput, Mittal Panchal, Satish Vasava and Alpesh Thakor all from Vadodara city along with mobiles, laptop, cash and other items from the spot.

During interrogation of the arrested, investigating team get to know about the main accused Chetan Kahar running the network of high-tech online cricket betting in the city with the help of Sanjay Vasava and Jatin Makwana.

The SOG team arrest four accused in the high-tech online cricket betting and hunt is on to nab the others. An offence is registered in Karjan police station for further investigation.
