WhatsApp recently brought MetaAI for all users in India and the AI chatbot is not just available on the instant messaging app, but can be accessed via Facebook and Instagram as well.
From responding to questions about various topics to just acting like an always available friend, Meta AI is being used by users for various purposes.
While most users now have access to the AI chatbot, some are still waiting on it. And now, as per a report in WA Beta Info, WhatsApp is testing a new feature under which it will let users choose which Meta AI Llama model they wish to use.
Earlier this year, WhatsApp began limited testing of Meta AI on its platform in various countries.
This initial phase aimed to explore how users interact with AI when integrated into the search bar and through an alternative entry point in the top app bar for users in India.
The goal was to enhance user interaction with Meta AI while ensuring that these interactions remained private.
As more and more users used Meta AI, WhatsApp began rolling out the AI tool in other countries as well. Read on to know all about the new update.
As part of the latest beta update, WhatsApp has taken Meta AI a step further by allowing users to select the AI model that best suits their needs.
As per a screenshot shared by the publication, users can choose between different models of Meta Llama for their AI conversations.
The default model is Llama 3-70B, designed for quicker and simpler prompts.
However, WhatsApp is also offering a preview of the more advanced Llama 3-405B model, which is capable of handling more complex queries.
The report also adds that the new feature allows users to tailor their AI interactions based on their specific requirements.
The Llama 3-70B model serves as the default option, providing fast and efficient responses for everyday use.
For more intricate tasks, users can opt for the Llama 3-405B model. However, this advanced model will be available for a limited number of prompts each week.
Once this limit is reached, users will revert to the default model to continue their conversation.
