PM Modi said there is immense scope for ties to flourish even further in sectors like defence, energy, technology, trade, health, education and more.
Prime Minister Modi will also address a gathering of Indian community in Nigeria. India and Nigeria have been strategic partners since 2007 with growing economic, energy and defence collaboration.
In the first leg of his three-nation visit, PM Modi will travel to Nigeria at the invitation of Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This will be the first visit by a Prime Minister of India to Nigeria in 17 years.
The projects which are dedicated and kick-started are aimed at uplifting tribal communities and improving infrastructure in rural and remote areas of the region.
The Prime Minister expressed his happiness that the government has issued a 200-rupee silver coin and a commemorative stamp to mark the occasion.
He highlighted the importance of Irrigation projects in Vidarbha .He said previous Maha Vikas Aghadi government stalled ambitious irrigation projects of Devendra Fadnavis government.
