Learning Should Be Joyful, Not Heavy’: PM Modi Links Skills with Knowledge at Pariksha Pe Charcha.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with students from across the country during the 9th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, held at his residence in New Delhi. The event featured candid conversations, with the Prime Minister answering students’ questions and offering guidance on exams, life choices, and skill development.

In the first episode, PM Modi urged students to prefer indigenous products over foreign goods and encouraged them to dream of building a developed India over the next 25 years. He reminded students that when India completes 100 years of independence, today’s children will be in their late 30s and early 40s — the age at which they will carry the nation’s responsibility.

“Bhagat Singh embraced martyrdom with the dream of freedom in his heart. You must carry the dream of a developed India,” the Prime Minister told the students, calling on them to align personal ambitions with national progress.

During the interaction, students also presented the Prime Minister with tea as a symbolic gesture, moments of which were seen in the official trailer released earlier. PM Modi was also seen appreciating paintings and creative works made by students, highlighting the importance of creativity alongside academics.

The next episode of Pariksha Pe Charcha is scheduled to be released at 10 am on February 9, and will be available on the official platforms of DD News and the Department of Education. The trailer for the 9th edition was released on January 27, offering glimpses of the Prime Minister engaging with children at different locations.

Launched in 2018, Pariksha Pe Charcha has evolved into a national platform for students, parents, and teachers to discuss exams, stress management, and life skills. Over the years, the initiative has grown into a mass movement aimed at helping students face examinations with confidence and positivity.

The 8th edition, held on February 10, 2025, at Sundar Nursery in New Delhi, created a Guinness World Record, with participation from students across all Indian states, teachers from 153 countries, and parents from 149 countries. Registrations have surged dramatically, rising from 22,000 in 2018 to 3.56 crore by 2025, reflecting the programme’s expanding reach and impact.
