Vadodara District Electoral System is taking every measure to ensure strict vigilance related to Covid 19 during the elections. Various arrangements have been made at polling stations to protect the voters and on duty staff from getting infected with the virus.
Under the guidance of District Election Officer and Collector Shalini Agarwal and following the guidelines of the State Election Commission, polling is being conducted following various security precautions against Covid 19.
The body temperature of the voters coming to the polling station is checked with thermal guns with the help of Anganwadi workers. Their hands are sanitized along with other safety parameters is taken during the polling by the staff.
A polythene glove is being provided to be worn on the hand with which the voter is to press the EVM button. Polling staff have also been given both gloves and sanitizers as a precaution to keep them infection free. In addition, face shields have been provided.
PPE kits is also provided to the polling staff in case if there is a possibility of Covid positive patient and his close contacts coming to the polling station to cast their votes.
