After eleven months finally the physical court proceedings started in Vadodara. All rooms were sanitized before the court began. The Bar Association has asked the police to keep those jail inmates present in court they needed. After nearly a year the physical court has been buzzing with lawyers and clients.
After the gradual decline in Corona cases, the government allowed the one area after another in phases. But, the courts were not allowed to start. A protest was raised by the Bar Association of courts across the state to start physical courts. As a result, the government allowed them to start from March 1.
The courts in Vadodara were came to life today as all the rooms of the court were sanitized as it was necessary to follow the guideline of Corona to start the court.
The condition of the lawyers has become dire due to the closure of the courts for the last 11 months and had hard time getting both ends meet. Cases also surfaced that some lawyers had started other businesses.
But, due to Corona pandemic the court was not physically started and Bar association raise their voice many times with a request to start the courts soon. Eventually all the bar associations in the state came together and the government allowed to start physical courts with caution.
Hasmukh Bhatt, president of the Vadodara Bar Association, said lawyers were happy to see the court begin after 11 months. Lawyers will now start earning starting from today. Along with that the cases of the clients which were stuck will now goes in proceedings. Happiness is also being seen in clients along with lawyers.
