Baroda Cricket Association organized an orientation program at Naranlala College in , Navsari from 22nd to 26th February for Umpires & Scorers and on 1st to 4th March for Coaches & Trainers. The objective was overall development of district cricket in broader terms and to uplift umpires, scorers, coaches and trainers.
Conventional academic system was set up in which more than 100 participants were educated. The program was carried out for 8-10 hours daily by specialized faculty. Theoretical sessions focused on technical aspects in order to strengthen their core knowledge, followed by practical mock situations.
The respective topics also highlighted laws, norms, technique and fitness relevant to the sport. Experts shared their experiences on the subject to teach crisis management through existed complex circumstances. The sessions were concluded with an assessment of the attendees to evaluate the effectiveness of the program.
Atul Bedade, Director District, interacted with the participants and encouraged them for further involvement in such programs for the betterment of cricket at district level.
