The hurricane caused a sudden change in the atmosphere in Vadodara city. A worker was killed when a tower collapsed at a company in Nandesari Industrial Estate due to the strong winds as a effect of cyclone about to hit the shores of Gujarat. The family were shocked after the incident.

As per available details a worker was crushed under the rubble of Panoli Intermediate's Unit 1 in Vadodara's Nandesari notified area when the tower collapsed due to strong wind. The tower collapsed on the roof on the workers eating at the maintenance department near the tower. Fire bridge reached the spot and began rescue operations and found the body of the worker in the rubble.

The deceased was identified as Ashish Gohil, a resident of Davol village near Anand. The family members of the worker rushed to the company gate and put alegations of the company officials for negligence. Police also reached the spot and began investigation in the matter.

It is said that the matter was aggravated when the contractor of the company pointed a revolver at Rajendrasinh Mangalsinh Gohil, vice-president of Vadodara taluka panchayat, who reached there to offer condolences to the family members of the deceased.

Following the incident, BJP leader Rajendrasinh Gohil has said to be filed a complaint against the Panoli company contractor who threatened to fire a revolver.
