One crore eight lakh LPG consumers give up their subsidy by 1st February this year

One crore eight lakh LPG consumers have given up their subsidy as on 1st February this year. Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan said this in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha today.

He said, the prices of petroleum products including LPG in the country are linked to the prices of respective products in the international market. He, however, said, the Government continues to modulate the effective price to consumers for subsidised domestic LPG.
