On International Nurses' Day, the nursing staff at Sayaji Hospital in Vadodara has staged a symbolic protest I view of their pending issue. Holding placards in hands they shouted slogans against the administration.

International Nurses Day observed around the world on 12 May, to mark the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale who gave a new identity to nursing by combining human service with nursing. Florence is called "Lady with Lamp" and the British nurse was involved in caring of patients day and night. The day mark the contributions that nurses make to society.

The International Nursing Council celebrates Florence's birthday on May 12 every year in her honor. It is worth mentioning here that at a time when the corona epidemic is going on in the country, the nursing staff has been making a special contribution and serving the people day and night. They save people from the brink of death and also been given the title of Corona Frontline Warriors.

However for the last several years, the nursing staff has been fighting for their demands, but the government has not responded. Irked with that the nursing staff on Wednesday staged protest against the administration.

Nursing staff at Sayaji Hospital in Vadodara staged protest against the government on World Nursing Day wearing black ribbons. The nursing staff, who had been working day and night in the Corona epidemic, staged peaceful demonstrations with banner posters against the government's attitude. They threaten to intensity their agitation if the government did not meet their demands.

Parulben Vasava, a on duty nurse said, her husband was working as a staff brother at Sayaji Hospital who passed away six months ago. However she is yet to recieve the assistance announced by the government.
