Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, both members of the Congress, will announce the party's young manifesto for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections on Friday (January 21, 2022).

Today, Congress leaders will hold a special press conference at the party's headquarters to unveil the UP youth manifesto. This is one of the few times that both leaders of the Congress Party will address the media at the same time.

Randeep Surjewala and KC Venugopal are expected to attend the event, according to sources. Congress will also begin a social media campaign promoting the 'Youth' manifesto's major core commitments.

The party is focusing on youth and women in the election, and has promised that 40 percent of tickets in Uttar Pradesh will be reserved for women.

On Thursday, the Congress unveiled its second list of 41 candidates for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, including 16 women.

Women candidates received 16 of the 41 assembly seats, accounting for 40% of the total seats on the second list. Poonam Pandit, an active participant in the farmers' agitation, and Sangeeta Tyagi, wife of late Congress spokesperson Rajiv Tyagi, are among the 16 women candidates. Sangeeta Tyagi is running for the assembly seat of Sahibabad.
