Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Chennai today to inaugurate the New Integrated Terminal Building (NITB) Phase -I at Chennai Airport in the afternoon.
He will also flag off the Chennai Central- Coimbatore Vade Bharat Express at Dr. MGR Central Railway Station.
The Prime Minister will also be participating in celebrations commemorating the 125th Anniversary of Sri. Ramakrishna Math at Vivekananda House.
In the evening, the Prime Minister will preside over a public programme at Alstrom cricket ground in Chennai, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of road projects worth 3700 crore rupees.
As part of the event, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the 37 Km new Broad gauge section between Tiruturaipundi and Agastiyampalli completed at a cost of 294 crore rupees, 4-lane elevated corridor in Madurai-Chettikulam (NH-785) , 4-lane Natham-Thovarankurichi (NH-785) and also lay foundation stone of 4-laning of Thirumangalam-Vadugapatti (NH-744), 4-laning of Vadugapatti-Therkuvenganallur (NH744).
Furthermore, Mr. Modi also will flag off a new Tri-weekly Express service between Tambaram and Sengottai.
