IMD Forecasts severe heatwave conditions in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana & Delhi

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heat wave to severe heat wave conditions over parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi till 21st of this month.

The IMD said, heatwave conditions are also very likely to commence over Eastern and Central parts of the country from tomorrow.

Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to continue over southern parts of India till 23rd of this month.

The weather department said that isolated very heavy rainfall is likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Karnataka till Tuesday. 

According to IMD, there is a possibility of isolated extremely heavy rainfall over Kerala on 20th and 21st of May.

In East India, isolated heavy rainfall is very likely to occur over Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur and Meghalaya till Monday.

The maximum temperatures over many parts of Northwest, Central and East India are expected to increase gradually by about 2-4 degrees Celsius for the next 3-4 days.
