Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today called upon the friendly nations to elevate partnership to a new height in view of the evolving global challenges.
Rajnath Singh was speaking on the occasion of an air show organized during the largest multilateral Defence Air Exercise ‘Tarang Shakti’ at Jodhpur today.
Rajnath Singh said that in a world of competition and conflict, India’s aim is to unite and progress together.
He said that India has made significant strides in indigenizing weapons, platforms and aircraft and is becoming largely self-reliant in areas like light combat aircraft, sensors, radars, and electronic warfare.
Rajnath Singh said that India is not only becoming self-reliant in the defence sector but is also exporting defence equipment to about 90 countries.
He said that such exercises promote mutual cooperation and coordination among friendly nations.
Such events also enhance confidence that countries will stand with each other when needed.
He emphasised that the tendency to keep learning leads to development of human Civilization.
The Defence Minister impressed that technology is changing rapidly in the defence sector, hence learning with a collaborative approach is the need of the hour.
Sources reports that the aircrafts of the Indian AIR force displayed their capability and power in the air show held in the presence of the Defense Minister.
