VMSS made seating arrangement for stray animals to control the cattle menance
Done barricading at Shastribagh, extend to other parts of the city
Taking a new initiative against the straying cattle menance in Vadodara, the corporation has turned a dumping space into a seating space for them. The authorities have also plan to identify similar spaces in the city and turn them into such spaces to ease the problem.
Vadodara city is facing cattle menance for a long time and in some incidents people lost their lives. Inspite of various representations and efforts by VMSS the problem is still the same and specially in monsoon the commuters find it difficult to move on the city roads. The problem increases more when the cattle feeds on the garbage at points.
With a dual intention to address the problems, VMSS comes out with a unique idea to shut garbage points and turn them into sitting space for cattles. "
"Arrangements have been made by Vadodara Municipal Corporation at Shastribaug in Vadodara city to remove the problem of garbage during monsoon season and also to provide proper seating space to the stray animals. We shut the point completely and put the animals inside the barricades to remove the menace of animals straying on roads. Stray animals from other areas are too will be kept inside such barricades," Said Dr. Hitendra Patel chairman Standing Committee VMSS.
