The protesting resident doctors of Vadodara called off their strike partially after verbal assurance from Deputy CM Nitin Patel at the end of marathon meeting of their representatives on Tuesday. The doctors started emergency services as per routine but yet to start OPD, Ward and elective OT as they are waiting for the written GR from the government.

Resident doctors who went on strike called off their protest partially after verbal assurance by the government. They started emergency services like causality, ICU, Covid duties and attending patients who are facing trouble due to strike. However the OPD, Ward and elective OT are yet to start as they need written assurance.

"Our representatives had marathon meetings on Tuesday and at the end Deputy CM Nitin Patel gives us verbal positive assurance. We started emergency services from Wednesday but yet to start the OPD, ward and elective OT as we need written GR from them and will see that all our demands are met. If not then they will once again close the emergency services, " Said Dr. Tejan Bhatt member of JDA Vadodara.
