A policeman from Varanama police station in Vadodara district was killed when he crashed into an parked Eicher tempo near Tarsali on the National Highway. He was on his way home from night duty when the accident happened. A pall of gloom spread in the police department as Makarpura police have launched an investigation into the incident.
As per avaliable details, Bhadresh Solanki (age 33), a native of Navinagari Koparej village in Halol taluka and currently living in a rented house in Ratna Heaven Society on Kapurai Chowkdi Dabhoi Road, had been working as a armed police constable at Varanama police station in Vadodara taluka for the last three years. He use National Highway 48 for his job every day.
He was on night duty and after completing is on way home on his bike. At that time, he crashed into the parked Eicher tempo on the Surat-Ahmedabad highway in the middle of the third line without any parking lights or signals. Receiving serious injuries he died on the spot and his helmet was also broken due to the impact. He is survived by his wife and two children.
The incident was reported to the family and they rushed to the spot immediately. Makarpura Police also reached the spot and started investigation after sent the body to Sayaji Hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered against the tempo driver on the basis of a complaint lodged by Hasmukhbhai Solanki, brother of the policeman who died in the accident.
