A human skeleton was Found in a sugarcane field in Bakrol village of Ankleshwar taluka, causing a stir in the area. The Panoli police have launched an investigation to determine the identity and cause of death.

The skeleton was found Thursday early morning when laborers began harvesting the sugarcane crop.

Upon noticing the remains, they immediately informed the farm owner, Ambubhai Patel. Patel, along with village deputy sarpanch Ankit Patel, alerted the Panoli police.

Responding swiftly, a police team led by Ankleshwar DYSP Dr. Kushal Ojha and Panoli Police Station PI Shilpa Desai arrived at the scene. The authorities secured the area and took possession of the skeletal remains for forensic analysis.

The skeleton was sent for post-mortem and forensic examination (FSL) to determine the cause of death and establish the timeline of the incident. Investigators are working to ascertain the identity of the deceased and whether foul play was involved.

The land where the skeleton was found belongs to Ambubhai Patel, who had leased it for cultivation to Jadavbhai Zapda, a resident of Kosmadi originally from Botad. It remains unclear how long the remains had been in the field or whether the person was killed elsewhere and dumped at the site.

Authorities have launched a thorough probe, examining missing persons reports and gathering evidence from the site. Police are also questioning locals for any possible leads.
