COVID-19 Positive patient has found Omicron variant in Vadodara
Two travelers from Zambia, East Africa (Non High risk country) has found to be Omicron positive after the report came from Gandhinagar of Friday. All primary close contacts have been traced and testing in under way by the health department.
Both travellers female age 67 and male 75 years of Fatepura area arrived on 7th December 2021 and was under self monitoring as per guideline. Both have done routine test and found positive on 12/12/2021 in Routine RTPCR.
As a precautionary measures, even in NON-HIGH risk country, the administration have isolated them at Home and sent sample for Genome Sequence at GBRC- Gandhinagar.
On 17th December 2021 their Omicron variant report comes as Positive for B.1.1.529. All primary close contacts have been traced and testing in under way.
