Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has approved allocation of Rs 2 crore to 43 MLAs for their respective municipal corporation areas to promptly repair the roads damaged by the monsoon rain, according to a government statement.
“MLAs in municipal areas receive grants from the Urban Development Department for constructing new concrete or asphalt roads, resurfacing old roads, and installing paver blocks in areas where asphalt or concrete roads cannot be built within the municipality’s constituencies,” the statement said.
“In addition to the Urban Development Department grant, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has approved an extra ?2 crore per MLA from the Roads and Buildings Department for roadworks,” the statement said.
