Another Love Jihad complaint registered in Vadodara

Another Love Jihad complaint has been registered in Vadodara after the state government implemented the Gujarat Freedom of Religion Act. A Hindu girl has lodged a complaint at the Fategunj police station against her husband, father-in-law and brother-in-law for torturing her to convert to Islam and also torture. Police arrested the three and booked them under various sections of IPC along with the new act.

According to a complaint lodged at the Fategunj police station, ACP Paresh Bhesania said that the girl married Mohib Imtiaz Khan Pathan and both started their married life. However the girl lleged in the police complaint that her husband Mohib Pathan had forced her to change her religion and also got married according to the Muslim religion.

She also alleged about being tortured by her father in law, husband and brother in law after she asked for money during the pregnancy. Finally she lodged a complaint at the Fategunj police station against her husband, father-in-law and brother-in-law.

A.C.P. Paresh Bhesania said that the Fategunj police had registered a case under Section 4 (a) of the Gujarat Freedom of Religion Act 2021 on the basis of the girl's complaint and arrested her husband Mohib Pathan, father-in-law Imtiaz Pathan and brother in law Mohsin Khan Pathan. Further investigation is on after the RTPCR test of the accused.
