Ankleshwar: Helmet Mandatory for Two-Wheeler Riders, ₹500 Fine for Violators

Starting today, wearing a helmet has been made mandatory for two-wheeler riders in Ankleshwar. The police conducted a special drive and fined riders ₹500 each for not complying with the rule.

As part of the Bharuch District Police's helmet enforcement campaign, police teams carried out checks across Ankleshwar, covering areas such as Mahavir Turning, Pratin Chowkdi, Waliya Chowkdi, Bharuchinaka Chautanaka, and Trin Rasta Circle. Many riders were fined, creating a stir among motorists.

The police emphasized that helmets significantly reduce the risk of fatal injuries in accidents.

Initially enforced for government employees, the rule has now been extended to the general public, following directives from the State Police Chief.

Authorities urge all two-wheeler riders to wear helmets for their safety and to avoid penalties.
