Ami Lifesciences was founded by Girish Chovatia, in 1997 with the goal of changing the way in which quality medicines are delivered to people. They are involved in Research and production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) since last two decades.
Ami Lifesciences has spent last two decades in building up scientific and technological capabilities to increase productivity and Quality of API with building excellent business relations with global multinational companies and currently regularly exporting APIs to more than 60 countries. In this journey company has been recognized with high quality research and in-depth knowledge of the regulatory frameworks in regulated market.
Currently, Ami Lifesciences has been inaugurating a brand new modern R&D centre with capacity to accommodate more than 200 scientists at a time, where there are 40 new fume-hoods and state-of-the art Kilo Lab, highly sophisticated analytical development laboratory along with USFDA level documentation department, which will be further expediting the research of the new molecules.
Ami Lifesciences have it's manufacturing facility at Karakhadi, near Vadodara. Site is spanned over 10 lac sq feet and having installed capacity of 650 Kilo Litre of volumes, which can produce approx. 1500 Metric Ton APIs at the site. This GMP standard manufacturing site has been approved by EDQM successively and products are approved in Europe, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, Mexico along with focused in human safety.
Ami Lifesciences has requisite quality infrastructure to ensure that products manufactured in the site always maintain world class quality. Quality Assurance department ensures that every activity associated with the design, development and manufacturing including purchasing, warehousing, analysis, release and dispatch of the finished goods are carried out in a systematic, scientific and in alliance with prevailing regulatory and cGMP requirements.
Product site has 10 different manufacturing blocks with 11 clean rooms (powder processing area), where cardiovascular, pain relief, CNS agents, vitamins and other therapeutic category APIs are being manufactured, which further help to reduce India's dependence on other import and supports MAKE IN INDIA and ATMANIRBHAR BHARAT.
In future they are expanding in Savli which will be four times big then the Kharkhadi plant.
