Ahmedabad records 14 new Covid cases
This was the lowest number of new cases in a day in Gujarat in 106 days
The city recorded 14 new Covid cases, accounting for nearly half of the 29 new cases in Gujarat. The state did not record any deaths of Covid patients on Tuesday. With the discharge of 25 patients, active cases in Ahmedabad fell to 147. For Gujarat, active cases fell to 472.
This was the lowest number of new cases in a day in Gujarat in 106 days. With the figures of Tuesday, Ahmedabad remains the only district in the state with more than 100 active cases. Of the state's 33 districts, 11 now have zero active cases.
Gujarat in the last 24 hours administered the first dose of Covid vaccine to 7,778 persons, and the second to 68,267 people. In all, 5.21 crore people in the state have had at least the first dose and 4.96 crore have had their second dose. Booster doses were given to 14,670 persons in these 24hours.
