A social media revolt and a movement is stroke by the policemen of Gujarat
Gujarat police officers had lifted a banner of revolt for the first time in 1988 with a strike that destroyed policing in the state.
A revolt is building in the Gujarat Police Department, with a segment of the force launching a social media campaign in protest of the state government's fixed and contractual labour structure in government posts.
The social media campaign revolt post said, "Those working twenty-four hours get Rs 1,800 and those working for 8 hours get Rs 4,200 a month grade. This is an exploitation of employees, we are not against any departments, we are just demanding justice!"
This has lifted the hackles of the State Government. Soon as the social media post has gone viral, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Narsimha Komar has issued guidelines for the policemen on the use of social media, saying that no government officer should start mentioning of any of their grievances on a public platform or social media.

Their issue is that all government employees of the State don't get the same pay. Teachers receive a Rs 4,500 pay grade, while the Lokrakshak Dal or Traffic brigade jawan are paid the pay scale of only Rs 1,800.
Today, Gandhinagar Satyagraha Camp was filled by the policemen's families. Along with agreeing to their terms, the agitators have fiercely demanded for cancellation of the suspension of the Bapunagar police constable.
Policemen revolting from all over Gujarat are moving towards Gandhinagar, till this evening this movement is expected to get more fierce. Supporters of Aam Aadmi party have joined them too along with the opposition minister Paresh Dhanani and Jignesh Mewani.

If talking about the pay grades and salaries of the policemen then in other states, the pay grades are 4200 while the salary is in the range of 9300-34800. While in Gujarat the pay grade and salary range is 1800 and 5200-22000 respectively.
