Athletes and officers of Vadodara city police shine at state level after winning 15 medals in the 40th State Master Athletics in Dwarka.

Recently the 40th State Master Athletics Championship 2021 was held from 27 to 28th November 2021 in Dwarka district in which different open sports competitions were organized depending on the age. Local players along with police officers and staff from each district also took part in the competition.

Under the guidance of Vadodara City Police Commissioner Dr. Shamsher Singh, the officers and employees of Vadodara City Police have enthusiastically participated and got medals in different categories and bring laurels to the city.

In this competition PSI Arun Mishra attached with Warasia Police Station in the age group of 35 to 40 years, won first gold medal in 200m race and shot put as well as silver medal in 400m race. Head Constable Sherajman Baloch has shown enthusiasm by winning gold medals in 400, 800 and 1500 meter run.

Constable Nishant Shivajirao has won a gold medal in the 200m race and a bronze medal in the 100m race in the 45-50 age group category. While ASI Salim Ibrahim has shown great athletic skills by winning a silver medal in the 5 km and 1500 meters and a bronze medal in the 800 meters run.

In the age group of 45-50 years, Police HC Hasan Ibrahim has won gold medal in 400 meter hurdles (obstacle race), 1500 meter race and 5 km cross country and silver medal in 800 meter race. Police constable Ramesh Bhai Thakur has bagged a bronze medal in the 400m hurdles in the 45-50 years age group category.

The police officers and staff of Vadodara City Police mark their names with such an outstanding performance. The winners have been congratulated by the City Police Commissioner and senior officers.

The winning team and the officers have given a effective message about always maintain their agility and be healthy. In addition a message to the youth about proficiency in sports ease entry into the police force.
