Gujarat Deputy CM Nitin Patel declared to start Covid Care centres in four atithi gruh in Vadodara to accommodate the primary symptoms patients. He also issued warning to private hospitals for strict action as per new epidemic act if they are unnecessarily admit patients just for bills. He also added that beds are available in hospitals and in case of any need the commissioner and collector can increase beds in hospitals in Vadodara city and district.
Vadodara is witnessing a surge in corona cases and the administration is taking strict steps to control the situation. Deputy CM Nitin Patel also reached the city and Saturday and chaired a high level meeting at the circuit house with top officials. Many important decisions are taken after the meeting to curb the transition and increase vaccination for the safety of people.
Nitin Patel said in view of the rising cases in Vadodara it has been decided to open Covid Care centres at four atithi gruhs for primary symptoms patients. The aim is to vacant the beds which are unnecessarily filled. He also warned the private hospitals not to occupying beds necessarily or else strict action will be taken against them under new epidemic act.
He said remdesivir injections are available and the vaccination work is also going on in full fledge. 34 Urban health centres are running under VMC and plan to open more if need arise. He appealed everyone to wear masks and get the vaccine for their safety.
He also make clear that there is no plan for any lockdown and request everyone to support the goverment to help them defeat the virus.
