Zomato, Swiggy down: Users report outage as many unable to place orders

Food-ordering apps Zomato and Swiggy were down on Wednesday afternoon coinciding with the lunch time rush when order numbers typically see a bump up.

Users took to microblogging site Twitter and said the app was not functioning and that they were unable to place orders.
