The statement comes after the rift between Hooda and Baroda team captain Krunal Pandya during the practice session on Saturday ahead of their match against Uttarakhand in Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament playing on Sunday.
As per reports Baroda team captain Krunal Pandya and vice captain Deepak Hooda had a rift during the practice session at Reliance ground on Saturday. After which Hooda left the hotel room and informed the BCA for his unavailability to participate in the tournament.
The issue became a topic of discussion as both the players are senior and play international matches. In a statement BCA states, The Baroda cricket Association has been informed by Deepak Hooda that he will not be able to participate the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament to be held in Baroda.
The team management has informed BCA of the happening. BCA shall take strict disciplinary action, on this incident as being a Vice captain Hooda failed to hold on to his responsibility.
The Institution puts the game above any player. Team management has reported its observation and as vice captain it’s fault of Hooda to have left the team and bio bubble. BCA will not tolerate such indiscipline irrespective of any Big or small player. So taking action on Kunal Pandya is out of question.
