Vadodara fire brigade found the body and handed over to Chandod police
A young man from Vadodara drowned in the river Narmada at the holy shrine Chandod. He had come here on the banks of the Narmada to perform the ceremony due to not getting married. After the completion of the ritual he get inside the water and drowned in the rushing water of the river. The fire brigade was informed about the incident and they rushed to the spot. After a search they found the body of a drowned youth.
Parth Avinash Shah (age 32), a resident of Parth Society, 4, Vasna Road, Vadodara, has been working as a Marketing Manager in the Marketing Department of Instas Pharma for the last one and a half years. As his wedding was not taking place, he went to the banks of Narmada on Friday to perform the ceremony for an early marriage. He was accompanied by his father Avinashbhai and mother Jayshreeben. After the completion of the ceremony, he get in the water near Chandika Ghat on the banks of Narmada.
Due to the strong water flow in the Narmada river, Parth begin to drown in the rushing water. He screamed for help but no one reached him and suddenly disappeared into the flowing water. Local swimmers began search for him inside the the Narmada river but was not found.
Meanwhile, after information Chandod police and Vadodara fire brigade with rubber boats reached the place and began searching for the missing boy. They later found the body from the same place where he get inside and handed over to the police.
Chandod police registered a case of accidental death and sent the body to Dabhoi Government Hospital for postmortem. Shankarbhai of Chandod police station is investigating the incident.
