Israel confirms eliminating three top Hezbollah commanders in southern Lebanon

Israel Defence Forces on Sunday said it eliminated three Hezbollah commanders in southern Lebanon.

According to Israel, these three Hezbollah commanders directed and carried out numerous terrorist attacks from the Bint Jbeil area including launching anti-tank missiles toward Israeli civilians and IDF troops operating in southern Lebanon.

After airstrikes on Iran, Israel on Sunday targeted Hezbollah in Lebanon. 

So far, around 70 Hezbollah fighters have been killed by the Israeli military. Precision strikes were carried out on 120 targets in southern Lebanon destroying the group’s weapons factories and storage facilities in Beirut.

Bombings were reported in the southern cities of Tyre and Nabatiyeh.

Amid intensifying attacks, Hezbollah warned residents of more than two dozen towns in northern Israel to evacuate, as they had become legitimate targets.

Similar warnings were issued to communities in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. 

Meanwhile, at least 36 Israeli soldiers were killed since the ground operations began in Lebanon on September 30. 

On Saturday, Hezbollah said that it had launched a drone attack against Israel's Tel Nof airbase.

The group claimed it also targeted an intelligence base in the northern Israeli city of Safed with rocket salvo.
