Following the cyclone Tau Te, the Vadodara district administration has become very active and make necessary pre precautions in city and district. District Collector Shalini Agarwal as well as Municipal Commissioner, Vadodara city and health officials are holding regular meetings to control the effects of the cyclone and instructing the concerned officers and managers.

Shalini Agarwal, through a video conference with the administrators of private hospitals in Vadodara city-district, warned about the possible situation created by the cyclone and instructed to complete all the necessary arrangements before four o'clock in the afternoon.

She said, the next two days are very important as the cyclone is likely to be followed by strong winds and heavy rains. The power supply in particular is likely to be affected. It is very important for every hospital to have a system including batteries, inverters, generators for power backup so that the power supply is not disrupted. At the same time, it is equally important to verify that these tools are working properly.

She also instructed to keep adequate stock of medicine, food and water for staff-patients in the hospital. In addition the technical staff be present at the hospital and all the people also keep their mobiles fully charged so that communication can take place. Besides, the district administration is ready for any help, added Collector Agarwal.

Collector instructed about sheds outside the hospital should be removed to avoid any fire incident and casualties. It is also important that the responsible people of the hospital be present in this situation. She urged the hospital administrators to take care of all the possible impact of the cyclone.
