In memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the freedom struggle of India, a two-minute silence will be observed on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 11.00 am on Martyrs’ Day to pay homage to them. The General Administration Department of the Government of Gujarat has asked the state government to keep as much work and traffic as possible closed for these two minutes.

Saturday  On January 30, 2021, at 11.00 am, all workers in all the places where they are working should stand quietly in their respective places and observe silence. Wherever possible, workshops, factories and offices should be closed briefly.  All India Radio has been requested to shut down its program for two minutes and the traffic be stopped on roads for as long as possible.

At the same time, trains and planes departing at 11.00 am are requested to stop at their stations for two minutes.  When the period of silence is over, all can resume normal activities. In places where there is no siren or any other signal system, all concerned offices will have to issue orders informing the concerned to observe two minutes silence at 11.00 am.

All are appealed to contribute in making this opportunity to observe silence and pay homage to the martyrs.
