Apple iPhone 15 updates: India-manufactured iPhones to be available from day 1

It’s time of the year again. Apple’s fall iPhone is back, and the company is expected to unveil its iPhone 15 series lineup and new Apple Watches. The event starts Tuesday, September 12, at 10:30 pm IST.

With the event’s focus primarily on the iPhone, it will be interesting to see what the company does to iterate on its flagship phones this year especially the high-end Pro devices.

This year may be all about smaller but important design refinements. Rumour has it that the top-end iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature a luxurious titanium casing, an action button, and a periscope-style camera lens. It is also anticipated to cost more than the last year’s model.

Another big rumour around the new iPhone is the likely introduction of a USB-C charging port instead of the Lightning connector.

Last year, Apple said it would “have to comply” with an EU ruling that requires electronic devices like smartphones to use USB-C charging.

Beyond the new iPhone 15 lineup, other possible announcements include a brand new Apple Watch 9 series, an update to the Apple Watch Ultra, an updated AirPods Pro with USB-C connectivity, and perhaps more details about the upcoming Apple Vision Pro headset.
