In Wrestling, India’s Reetika Hooda clinched the gold medal in the women’s 76kg category at the World Military Championships in Yerevan, Armenia yesterday.

She became the second woman from India to achieve this feat. India’s Priyanka bagged the bronze medal in the 68 Kg Women’s category. Jyoti Sihag got the gold medal in the women’s 55kg category on Thursday.

India’s total medals tally was seven including three Gold, one Silver and three Bronze on the final day. Earlier, in the Men’s 74 kg Freestyle category, Jaideep also bagged the gold medal. Subedar Sharwan bagged the silver medal in the men’s 70 kg Free Style.

Bronze category medal holders in the Men’s category include Shubham in the 57 kg Free Style and Chandermohan in the 79 kg Free Style. India sent a women’s contingent to the World Military Championships for the first time this year.
