Vadodara celebrate Team India's medal winning achievement in hockey

Indian Hockey team scripted history in Tokyo after they beat Germany to win the bronze medal ending the 41 year old drought of winning a Olympic medal. Vadodara also celebrate the momentous ocassion at Manjalpur sports Complex raising a victory slogan for the team.
Indian hockey is once again moving towards the top spot. Thursday is the historical day for the Indian men's hockey team in Olympics as they defeated Germany and won a bronze medal after 41 years of drought. The historic ocassion was celebrated all across the country praising the team for their winning effort.
Vadodara too was not far behind as the players celebrate the victory at Manjalpur sports Complex and raised victory slogans for the national team. At Manjalpur Sports Complex, under the leadership of Jayesh Bhalawala, Senior Coach of District Sports Training Center, the players celebrated with pride and raised the slogan of Chak de India.
It has been a good run for the team in Tokyo Olympics, defeating New Zealand 3-2 in their opening group game, and then picking up wins over Germany (2-0), Spain (3-1), Argentina (3-1), and Japan (5-3) in the group matches. Barring the 7-1 defeat against Australia, and the 5-2 loss in the semifinal to the World Champions Belgium, India won all their games in Tokyo.
