Ranji Trophy: Sunil Joshi appointed Uttar Pradesh coach

The win was special for UP coach Sunil Joshi as this was the third time that he had coached a team which beat Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy.

He was the Jammu & Kashmir coach when they stunned Mumbai at the Wankhede in the 2015-16 season and was later in charge of Hyderabad when they achieved a similar feat.

Joshi, though, was furious with the umpiring and looked upset when Akshdeep Nath was given lbw off Tanush Kotian, even as the ball appeared to be going down leg after pitching.

Jayaraman Madanagopal and Nikhil Patwardhan were the on-field umpires in this match.
