Earlier last night, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) sealed a spot in finals of the IPL 2021 as they beat Delhi Capitals (DC) by 4 wickets in Qualifier 1 in Dubai. Chasing the target of 173 runs set by Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) achieved the taget in 19.4 overs with the help of 70 by Ruturaj Gaikwad and 63 by Robin Uthappa. CSK made 173 runs in 6 wickets.
Ruturaj Gaikwad was declared Player of the Match. MS Dhoni hit winning runs and remained not out at 18 runs off six balls. For Delhi Capitals, Tom Curran picked up three wickets while Anrich Nortje and Avesh Khan got one each.
Earlier, put into bat, Delhi Capitals made 172 for the loss of five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. For Delhi, Prithvi Shah top scored 60 in 34 balls. Captain Rishabh Pant remained not out on 51 off 35 balls. Josh Hazlewood was the pick of CSK bowlers with figures of 2 for 29 while Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo and Moeen Ali took a wicket apiece.
